One of our favorite things to do is our custom handpainted backdrops! These are so much fun for us because it allows us to let creative juices flow. And we just love offering our clients one of a kind sessions that they will treasure for a lifetime. Another perk is that our mommas get to take their backdrops home and keep forever!!! When our momma told us that her sweet boy’s birthday party them was Winnie Pooh….we knew we had to create the 100 Acre Woods! And that’s just what we did!!! Here are a few of our favorites…..be sure and watch our video of how this came to life too!!
I’ve known this beautiful girl since she was in preschool. Not much has changed about her since…. except she’s more sweet and more gorgeous and I am so very blessed that she shared her senior year with me! Love you Scotland!!
Everyone knows that I love when my seniors think outside of the box…so when Mackenzie and her mom told me about wanting to go to Charleston, SC for her senior pictures….I was ALL in!! If you have never been, I have a feeling that Mackenzie’s pictures will definately make you want to visit. Here are just a few of my favorites!
I am a huge believer in using healthy and clean products on my skin. Avoiding harsh ingredients and chemicals is not always easy to do. But with a little research making a DIY Facial is an inexpensive and beneficial way to be good to your skin and help make you look younger too. Now who doesn’t want that?!?! Here are some of my favorite DIY Scrubs and healthy products.
My favorite go to cleanser is just plain ol’ coconut oil….and organic. I recommend this kind. I use about a tablespoon every morning. Just apply it over your face in a gentle circular motion and rinse. I then apply my favorite Beauty Counter moisturizer. If you’re not familiar with Beauty Counter, they are a skin care company that focuses are using good, clean ingredients that are healthy for your skin. You can check them out here.
My all time favorite scrub is a combination of coconut oil and baking soda. Just mix equal parts and put it in a cute little jar. I use this 2-3 times a week to get rid of dead skin and to give my skin a little pep. I even have my teenagers use this because it’s amazing for those stubborn black heads. Amazing!!!
Here are a few other recipes for DIY Facials that I found on Pinterest that are healthy and inexpensive. Just try them out and see which one works better for you and your skin type.
I don’t get to photograph families very often, but once in while I get to meet some pretty special ones. I knew from the moment I talked to Shanda that she would be wonderful to work with. She’s a mom and knows the stress that comes along with family pictures…especially when men are involved. Lol! We decided on Levi Jackson State Park as our location. Since they were from Corbin, Kentucky it was important to keep things centrally located. Since the park is located in London, Kentucky (which is just a few miles from Corbin) it was the perfect choice. Not only did we do their family photos, we were able to get a few senior pictures for their son too. Here are a few of my favorites from the Lockaby’s fall session.
